Model Lily Aldridge shows off Nashville to SI peer

Model Lily Aldridge shows off Nashville to SI peers Since becoming a Victoria"s Secret and Sports Illustrated model, Lily Aldridge has traveled to white beaches and runways across the globe. But she"s always relieved to get back to her home outside Nashville. "Honestly, nothing feels better than being home in Nashville," Aldridge said sitting inside a Gibson Guitar tour bus parked on Broadway on Wednesday. This week, Aldridge is showing off her city to industry friends and colleagues. Sports Illustrated is hosting the second phase of the 2015 swimsuit edition launch party in Nashville, having thrown the first round of festivities in New York earlier this week. The "Swimville" party entails a Kings of Leon concert at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, a two-day concert series with several other local artists and a chance to interact with models featured in the issue, including Aldridge. The Sports Illustrated event was expected to attract as many as 15,000 attendees each day, and hundreds roamed the tent on Wednesday to listen to live music, interact with the models or just see for themselves what the party involved. With more than 70 million print and digital readers of the swimsuit edition, the event is expected to bring international exposure to Nashville, which was featured in a four-page spread.
