2014"s Most Googled Model Might Surprise You

GOOGLE has released its list of the most searched terms of 2014 - and there are a few surprises but also, predictably, a few expected results. Jennifer Lawrence was the year"s most Googled celebrity, followed by Kim Kardashian - both of whom were "breaking the internet" with varying degrees of complicity. Other no-brainer additions to the list include Amal Alamuddin (who married George Clooney in September), Matthew McConaughey (who won the Best Actor Oscar in February) and Julie Gayet (the French actress who became the world"s most famous "other woman" in January when French president Francois Hollande was pictured leaving her apartment). In terms of trends, there could only be one winner: Normcore - presumably frequently prefixed by "What is" when Googled; followed by similarly intangible terms including "health goth" and "athleisure". More straightforward trend searches focused on items of clothing - from over-the-knee boots and full skirts to capes and culottes - and on fabrications, including mesh, tartan and suede.
