Soham Village College students take to the catwalk

Glitzy dresses and dapper suits took centre stage at Soham Village College. A bumper prom fair and fashion show at the school saw around 20 pupils aged 15 and 16 take to the catwalk to model suits and ball gowns. The event was organised by the school"s Home and College Association in a bid to help fellow Year 11 students choose what to wear for their fast-approaching prom on June 27. Pupils and parents were also able to browse stalls with everything from floral decorations to handbags on display, plus hairdressers,make-up artists and nail technicians were on hand to pamper the students ahead of the catwalk and given other pupils advice ahead of the big day. The evening culminated with a fashion show featuring pupils in outfits from wedding and prom dress company,Dress to Address, which is based in Ely and Gerald Boughton Menswear and Formal Hire,in Bury St Edmunds. "It was a really lovely evening. The young models did superbly and really involved the audience. Everyone seemed to have a great time and went away with lots of ideas."
