A dream came true for 25 young girls who have disabilities. They showed off their talents and beauty at the Miss Shining Star beauty pageant. The lovely ladies put on their favorite formal attire and sportswear to show off their skills on stage. They answered questions in front of a panel of judges and shared their talents. This is the competition"s first year. It"s designed to showcase young girls and women with disabilities. Parents say it did not disappoint. "This is great for her". Her daughter Candace took part in the show. "I cried during her performance of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." That"s usually not a tear jerker but I was crying. To see her do that and feel confident in a safe place was encouraging. A simple song like that brought me to tears to see her get to do that."
