Fashion show for homeless


A fashion show takes place at The Old Needle Works tonight to raise money for Redditch Night Stop which provides night shelter for the homeless and is a distribution point for Redditch Food Bank helping residents on the poverty line. Members of the Young Designers Club,Craft Club and new designers taught at the Britten Street venue will showcase their work on the night,with all money raised from ticket sales donated to the charity and matched by Lloyds TSB. The event will also launch a fund-raising sub-committee made up of students Designers Young Mums" group at the Old Needle Works to help raise money for Night Stop over the next 12 months. A fashion show at the Town Hall raised Pound 500 for the charity last year. Brenda Killigrew,founder of the Old Needle Works near the railway station,"It will be a great night,all tickets have sold out and we are very excited to have our own fashion show in our new studio within The Old Needle Works which has been designed for all our new up and coming designers."
