Toowoomba model seeks international modelling win


Former Toowoomba beauty Ashleigh Callow hopes a Victoria Secret-inspired design will be enough to secure her place at the International Lingerie Model Search in Las Vegas later this year.Miss Callow, who won the Queensland leg of the competition held at the Cube Hotel,she entered the event after being urged to do so by a friend. "A friend contacted me and told me about the competition so I decided to give it a go. "I absolutely love lingerie and getting all dressed up. "So I hit the gym and worked very hard to get my figure into shape for the competition". Miss Callow will now join other beauties from across the country next month on the Gold Coast for the national finals. The winner will go onto represent Australia at the International Lingerie Model Search Final in Las Vegas in September. "I am getting a custom-made Victoria Secret-inspired costume made for the national finals". "I am going to give it everything I have got. "I do a lot of catwalk fashion work in Brisbane. Fashion is definitely my passion." Miss Callow the week-long national finals would involve numerous events where contestants were constantly judged. "It is a lot of hard work. It is not as easy as it looks". "It is not just about getting on a stage in your lingerie." Miss Callow she had found the perfect balance juggling her modelling career and her full-time job. "I work in our family construction business which is based in Brisbane".
