most 80s fashions dress parties

new exhibition "Club to Catwalk: London Fashion in the 1980s",which opened this week at the V&A Museum in London,is trying to persuade us to give the trends of the 1980s a second chance. This show isn"t about the clothes worn on Dynasty or by Princess Diana. The show celebrates the creativity and the exciting fashions, put together on shoestring budgets, which grew out of the vibrant club scene of the decade. Feeling inspired? This 80s look is easy to recreate with a little imagination. Perhaps the simplest way is to do what the attendees of famous clubs like Blitz and Taboo did and have a go at making something yourself. If that isn"t your scene, take a look at designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith who rose to fame in the 1980s and continue to influence our wardrobes. While their clothes might be beyond your budget, there are plenty of other 80s designers still making clothes today and you can still pick up some high-quality original vintage pieces for fairly reasonable prices.
