Childhood friends from Wishaw took the Miss Caledonia pageant by storm,bringing home the titles of Miss Congeniality and Miss Charity.In their first beauty pageant,wowed judges and ranked fifth and third,respectively,in the overall contest. But it was winning their special awards which meant the most to the beauty queens,who modelled swimwear,tartan wear,wow wear and evening wear at the event in Glasgow Hilton. Lauren,21,a mortgage consultant from Wishaw,was voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants a title reserved for the competition"s friendliest competitor. Sinead,21,a beauty therapist,who now lives in Braidwood,was similarly pleased to have been awarded the title of Miss Charity. Winning Miss Charity Caledonia means more than coming in third place title will help promote and raise even more money for favourite charities in Scotland. While Miss Caledonia has boosted their modelling careers,it has also brought the childhood friends back together.
