Victoria"s Secret model Yfke Sturm out of coma after Italian holiday tragedy Victoria"s Secret model Yfke Sturm has woken from a medically induced coma after being hit by a motorised surfboard while on holiday. Sturm had fallen from her board and was swimming to shore off the Italian island of Ischia when she was hit by another rider last week. The new mum suffered a fractured skull and severe spinal injuries, and was airlifted to a hospital in Naples. Words can not descibe how excited we are for the arrival of our son Alexander!! The 33-year-old welcomed son Alexander only two months ago. "Yfke has made an almost full recovery and is up and about walking with her son," a spokesperson from her modelling agency told the Mail Online. "This is great news and we are delighted to say she will be heading home with her family later this week. "Yfke is feeling much better and is looking forward to getting back to normal life." The 5ft 11in star began her career at 15, after being discovered by agency Elite Model Management.
