new face on the Whitsunday modelling scene but Paris Marshall is determined to make her mark by combining her interest in modelling with a mission to raise vital funds for the RACQ CQ Rescue Service. Paris has her eyes on the prize of becoming the Whitsundays next Charity Princess and is planning to gain as much community support as possible in the lead-up to the model search competition at the Magpies Sporting Club in Mackay on August 25.Paris she was lucky her family had never needed the assistance of the rescue chopper but was happy to be doing something she loves while helping others. "Ever since I was little we would run out and wave when we heard the sound of the chopper flying over our house"."They do a fantastic job and need all the support they can get so I am happy I have the opportunity to help make a difference." This is the 15-year-old"s first modelling competition and she she will be battling a few nerves as she goes head-to-head with over 100 contestants. aris"s mother Deborah Marshall she was delighted with the positive response received from local businesses. "We have a lot more fundraising to do but it will be wonderful to see her walking down the runway". A family fun day will be held at the Midge Point Tavern on Sunday,August 11 featuring hourly monster seafood wheelbarrow raffles,face painting,live music,a jumping castle and a goose club raffle with 100 prizes donated by local businesses.
